DEW’s Vehicle Engineering team modifies and integrates equipment on military and commercial vehicles to meet customer specifications, generally as a Prime Contractor.
We work closely with targeted vehicle OEM's to configure Tactical Wheeled Vehicles and armoured vehicles as mobile workshops, shelter and troop carriers, recovery vehicles, and other specialist variants.
Our team of experts design and manufacture specialised trailers, shelters, ISO Containers, Specially Equipped Vehicle (SEV) kits and sets; and, are experienced in applying Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) following a rigorous metal pre-treatment process to ensure long service life.
All of our vehicle engineering activities encompass through life support including provision of training, spare parts, field service support and comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
DEW has been dedicated to supplying vehicle protection since 1994, and have supported over 6,000 vehicles in-service around the world, including being the sole supplier of exterior Add-On-Armour for the U.S. Stryker Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV).
DEW's ballistic door panels for police and security vehicles and our add-on armour for military vehicles successfully meet or exceed the highest protection and test standards and are made to exacting ISO 9001:2008 quality standards.
DEW's capabilities include an in-house ballistic range with an extensive array of small and medium calibre ammunition. We design ITAR-free armour solutions that are tested on-site and by militaries to ensure that protection, cost and weight are balanced and optimised to protect against a range of threats, including ballistic, mine-blast and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED).
