Quality Control Inspector

Reporting to the Senior Director Compliance, the Quality Control Inspector will inspect and test the quality of materials and parts for lifesaving military Armor and Defence applications.

Responsibilities/Duties:

(Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following)

Quality Control:

  • Conduct quality testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process and finished goods to ensure compliance with corporate and ISO standards
  • Coordinate with production department and Project Managers to ensure quality standards are adhered to
  • Ensure that interpretations and guidance are sought from sources independent of those directly responsible for the process
  • Maintain accurate quality records
  • Work within a team to ensure accurate and timely inspections
  • Make recommendations for improvements to company processes
  • Perform inspections on all DEW products as required
  • Initiate and follow up on action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities related to our products or services, processes and our quality system
  • Identify and record any problems with our products or services, processes and our quality system
  • Verify the solutions to quality problems
  • Control non-conforming products until the non-conformance has been resolved

Other:

  • Travel as required
  • Adhere to all environmental, health and safety regulations and follow the environmental and quality management systems

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of welding and manufacturing processes
  • Experience reading, interpreting and following blueprints
